Don't do it yet, but say to yourself, "I am going to move my arm." Now move your arm. You said “I” am going to move 'my' arm," and your arm moved. Here is a powerful question to contemplate. Who is the "I" and who is the "my"? Who told your arm to move and who moved your arm?
We have located the command center -- the part of the brain that sends the message to your arm to move. But we have never found the "commander" of the command center. That is your higher self, your higher awareness, your higher consciousness or whatever you want to call it. That is where your power exists. Quite frankly, it is what makes us different from other forms of life. As human beings, we can think about what we think about.
"How to Carve a Duck" is all about becoming aware of your awareness, then using that awareness to change anything you wish to change and to attract the things into your life that you wish to attract.
So your assignment for the month is to be aware of the times you say "I am going to..."; then reflect on the question "Who is the "I" and who is the "my"? Become aware of your awareness.
[I have to give credit to Dr. Wayne Dyer for these ideas. It has made a difference in my life.]
