"So what does that have to do with anything?" you might ask. So many times when things aren't working in our life we want to throw everything out and start over, when in reality all we have to do is to eliminate (carve away) one or two little flaws and we're back on track.
For example, if you would like to develop more patience, every time you find yourself thinking or acting impatiently, carve it away. What you are left with then is a calm and patient demeanor. If you would like a kind and understanding tone of voice, every time you catch yourself talking in harsh tones, carve it away and soon your tone of voice is habitually calm and serene.
In these weekly "carve a duck" vignettes, you will refresh time tested ideas that will help you achieve self-mastery and make "personal positivity" a way of life.
Your assignment for this week is to pick one attribute such as patience, confidence, tone of voice or whatever and begin to recognize when you not exercising that trait. Then begin carving the unwanted behavior away and you become more of the person you want to become.
By the way, you already are that person.
