Life in the workplace and life in general have one thing in common. Both have challenging times. Our goal is not to eliminate problems and challenges, but to learn how to deal with them in a calm and effective manner. As motivational speaker Mike Patrick says, "The problem is not the issue, the issue is how you deal with the problem."
This hands on session helps participants put both short term and long term problems in perspective. Clearly define the problem, then develop a clear cut plan for resolution. It includes methods for exercising patience and maintaining a calm and focused demeanor.
It also points out something that seems so obvious, but isn't always quite so obvious. Participants will learn how to turn their mental energies away from the problem and focus on the solution. (This is so apparent when we observe others, but it's so easy to lose sight of when the problem is your own.)
People who master the art of "solution consciousness" don't have fewer challenges than others, they just handle them differently. An added bonus: They greatly reduce the number of self-induced problems.
